Asclepias Incarnata ‘Ice Ballet’

The upright stems of Asclepias incarnata ‘Ice Ballet’ are topped with dense clusters of pristine white blooms, from mid-summer to autumn. The nectar rich flowers are a magnet for butterflies. This unusual hardy perennial has an elegant presence in sunny borders where its willowy foliage adds texture to cottage garden planting schemes. As the flowers fade, they are replaced by intriguing seedpods which can be used in fresh or dried cut flower displays. Asclepias incarnata ‘Ice Ballet’ prefers a moist, fertile soil, but shows surprising tolerance to dry conditions once established. Height: 90cm (36″). Spread: 60cm (24″).
