A very dainty native British wildflower producing basal rosettes of deeply toothed, fern-like leaflets. In midsummer, these bear tall, wiry stems topped with coral buds that open to delightfully frothy clusters of creamy-white flowers, barely tinged with pink.
Filipendula hexapetala is a wonderfully airy and elegant plant that makes an unusual addition to an informal cottage-style border or a wildlife garden, where pollinators will flock to its nectar-rich flowers. Unlike other Filipendula species, which require constantly moist soils, it will tolerate drier conditions. Height: 50cm (20in). Spread: 30cm (12in).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
