Picea Pungens ‘Blue Diamond’

A small, slow-growing evergreen conifer that matures into an elegant pyramidal shape. Picea pungens ‘Blue Diamond’ brings all year-round colour and interest to the garden with its silver to bright blue needles that form a soft, densely textured background to colourful summer borders and a striking architectural focal point in the winter. Picea pungens ‘Blue Diamond’ even serves as an alternative to more traditional Christmas trees – planted in a container on the patio its silvery needles look fabulous under tree lights. Mature trees develop pale brown cones in the autumn and the blue colour of the foliage intensifies with age. Height: 2-2.5m (6.5 – 8ft). Spread: 1.5-2m (5-6.5ft).
