Tellima grandiflora is an adaptable, semi-evergreen, ground cover plant which is extremely useful for dry shade beneath trees and shrubs where it provides weed-suppressing rosettes of attractively veined and scalloped leaves, tinted bronze when young.
From May to July these bear tall, slender stems from which hang tiny, creamy-green bells with fringed edges, the flowers maturing to pink as they age. It’s an understated plant, but one which provides a lovely light and airy companion to hostas and ferns, creating a delightful woodland ambience. It can also be grown in sunny spots, provided the soil remains reliably moist. Height: 100cm (40″) Spread: 50cm (20”).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
